OFNL Compare is an independent price comparison site for broadband on the Open Fibre Networks Limited (OFNL) network. We track 548 packages from 20 providers across 51 areas of the UK with OFNL-enabled housing developments.
Why the site exists
OFNL is an open-access fibre network used by many new-build developments, where it is often the only network available at the property. Residents can choose between a number of independent providers, all delivering service over the same fibre.
That choice is genuinely valuable, but it is difficult to act on — the providers are mostly small, their pricing pages are inconsistent, and the mainstream comparison sites do not cover the OFNL network. People moving into a new-build home frequently have no way to tell whether the provider named in their welcome pack is competitive.
We built OFNL Compare to close that gap: one place to see every OFNL package, on a consistent basis, with the real cost of each deal made visible.
Who runs it
OFNL Compare is operated by Built By Board Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15604498.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Open Fibre Networks Limited, BUUK Infrastructure, or any of the providers listed on this site. For official network information, please refer to OFNL directly.
How we work
We collect package data automatically from providers' own published pricing pages and refresh it through the day. Deals are compared on effective monthly cost — the advertised price plus setup fees and router charges spread across the contract term — so that short contracts with large upfront costs are not made to look cheaper than they are.
The site is free to use and funded by paid placement, which affects the order packages are shown in but never the prices, speeds or contract terms we display. Our methodology page sets out the calculation, the ranking logic and the commercial arrangements in full.
